Nearly all rail sector contractors will be required to hold Public and Employers Liability Insurance as a stipulation of their contracts. Working in the rail sector can involve a number of risks on a daily basis so holding Public Liability insurance is a key cover, particularly if you undertake any manual work. This will give you peace of mind knowing that if any accidents happen while working, you have cover to defend your case and if necessary, pay any damages.
£1million, £2million and £5million Public Liability policies are offered for those operating in the rail sector, with the option to increase to £10million. Please refer to your contract and assess your risk before purchasing.
